About the Role

Dakota Precision Manufacturing (DPM) is seeking a results-driven Sales Specialist to drive revenue growth and build strong customer relationships. This role plays a key part in identifying new business opportunities, managing customer accounts, and providing solutions tailored to client needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, a strategic mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and Maintain Client Relationships: Establish and nurture strong relationships with both new and existing customers by understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and providing tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Identify and Pursue Sales Opportunities: Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities, generate leads, and develop strategies to expand DPM’s customer base. Proactively reach out to prospective clients through calls, emails, and networking efforts.
  • Promote Products and Services: Present and demonstrate DPM’s product offerings, effectively communicating their value and benefits to prospective customers. Customize sales presentations to meet the specific needs of different industries and clients.
  • Negotiate and Close Sales Contracts: Prepare, review, and negotiate sales agreements to ensure terms are favorable for both the company and the customer. Maintain a balance between customer satisfaction and company profitability.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with production, engineering, and customer service departments to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently. Provide feedback from clients to improve product offerings and service quality.
  • Monitor and Report Sales Performance: Track key sales metrics, analyze performance data, and generate detailed reports for management. Provide insights on trends, challenges, and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Continuously research market conditions, emerging industry trends, and competitor activities to remain knowledgeable and competitive in the manufacturing sector.
  • Represent DPM at Industry Events: Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote DPM’s brand, establish new business connections, and stay informed about industry advancements and customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in sales, business development, or account management preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales tracking tools is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $55,000 – $70,000 per year (plus commission potential)
