Job Summary
Dakota Precision Manufacturing is a mid-sized manufacturing firm specializing in high-quality metal components and assemblies for various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and heavy machinery. We’re seeking a qualified sales manager who can help keep the engine running with their own sales skills and leadership of a team driven sales representatives. This person has deep experience with the sales process, relationship building, and deal closing. We’re looking for a quick learner with strong negotiating skills, a sharp mind, and an ability to coach, advise, motivate, or replace sales representatives. This person needs to set goals for their team and produce monthly forecasting reports to see how well they’re doing in achieving those targets and budgets compared to the revenue streams.
Objectives of this role
- Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our offerings.
- Hire, train, motivate, and advise a team of sales representatives
- Develop training skills continuously and ensure they’re suing effective sales tactics
- Achieve company’s objectives by planning and setting up goals
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting relationships with clients
- Identify consumer needs and find ways and solutions to address them
- Identify emerging markets and markets shifts while being aware of new products and competition status
Responsibilities
- Create and execute plans that expands our customer base and extends the company’s global reach
- Meet with potential clients and establish long-lasting relationships
- Ensure that the company quotas are met by doing daily check-ins with sales team to set objectives and monitor progress
- Manage the month-end and year-end close process
- Recruit sales representatives, set objectives, train, and coach their performance
Requirements and skills
- BS/MS degree in business administration or related field
- Previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager (at least five years)
- Committed to continuous education through seminars, workshops, events, conferences, etc.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Super leadership ability
- Strong business sense and industry expertise
- Excellent mentoring and coaching
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, on-site position with an anticipated base salary of $95,000 per year, depending on knowledge, skills, education, and experience. In addition, we offer a performance-based variable pay component equivalent to 10% of the revenue generated from sales, rewarding your contributions and encouraging higher sales achievement.
