Position Overview:

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. Accountabilities include planning schedules, supervising production staff, monitoring quality control, meeting production goals on time and within budget, and adhering to safety regulations. This key position requires a proactive leader with a solid understanding of precision manufacturing processes, the ability to manage teams, and the drive to meet production goals while maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring timely and efficient production schedules.
  • Manage and mentor production staff to ensure optimal performance and a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to ensure product specifications are met and production timelines are achieved.
  • Monitor production processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Analyze production data and report on key performance indicators, including production rates, downtime, and scrap rates.
  • Work closely with management to develop and implement strategies for scaling operations.
  • Train new staff and provide ongoing professional development opportunities for the production team.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts when production issues arise, providing solutions that align with company goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to analyze and resolve complex production issues.
