Outbound Sales Representative
Clive Power Equipment is seeking a motivated and results-driven Outbound Sales Representative to join our team with the Merit Management Group family. As an Outbound Sales Representative, you will be responsible for proactively reaching out to potential customers to promote and sell our range of power equipment products at Clive Power Equipment, Iowa's largest dealer of Toro, Exmark and Stihl outdoor lawn, garden and power equipment.
The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent communication skills, a strong sales acumen, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As an Outbound Sales Rep, you'll take the lead in prospecting, reaching out to potential customers, and following up with leads to drive equipment, parts and service sales. Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities through outbound calling, emails and in-person visits.
- Qualify prospects, understand customer needs, and recommend the right equipment, parts or service solutions.
- Maintain a pipeline of leads and follow up consistently to close sales and grow repeat business.
- Represent Clive Power Equipment at local events, trade shows, or demos to promote our product and services.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure time order fulfillment and exceptional customer experience.
- Stay up to date on our product lines, promotions, and industry trends to effectively educate and advise customers.
- Collaborate closely with key vendor representatives to maintain strong partnerships and stay informed on the latest product updates, equipment enhancements, and industry developments.
Qualifications:
- Strong sales acumen with the ability to confidently initiate and manage outbound sales efforts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented and comfortable working independently.
- Experience with CRM systems or lead management tools.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or a willingness to learn about outdoor power equipment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Prior experience in sales - especially in lawn, garden, outdoor equipment, agriculture, or mechanical - is preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary range of $40,000-$50,000, commensurate with experience.
- Performance based incentives.
- Company vehicle and fuel card provided for business use.
- Monday-Friday, 8AM to 5PM schedule
