Metal Recycling Yard Laborer
**Located in Rock Valley, IA. Must be able to commute daily.**

We’re looking for a dedicated Metal Recycling Yard Laborer to assist customers, sort and process scrap metal, and help maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires physical endurance, adaptability, and experience operating equipment such as forklifts and skid steers.

Hours
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with unloading and sorting scrap metal safely and efficiently
- Identify and properly grade various types of scrap metal
- Operate scales to weigh materials and generate accurate transaction tickets
- Prepare metals for processing using shredders, shears, and other equipment
- Safely transport materials within the yard using forklifts, skid steers, and other machinery
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Strong adaptability to shifting priorities and independent work ethic
- Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, or similar equipment (preferred)
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods (up to 9 hours) and lift/move materials weighing 60lbs or more
