Job Description

Summary/Objective: The EM Tech is responsible for facility and equipment repairs consisting of electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This individual is expected to apply electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. Then apply technical skills in restoring equipment to normal operation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
  • Installs, starts up, and shuts down equipment
  • Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment
  • Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.
  • Assists all personnel with technical troubleshooting
  • Assists with the training of other maintenance and technical-level employees.
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
  • Use various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Support other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Two-year technical degree or relevant work experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment, including special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
  • Relevant maintenance experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with basic PLC and HVAC experience
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills, technical capacity, and problem-solving/analysis abilities.
  • Must possess strong computer skills, including any software relevant to the position.
